Everyone wants a well visited website, and out of the infinite number of tips and tricks, here are a few tried and trusted techniques!
The goal to a well visited website is to lead people to enter it, right? Once they enter they will post on you blog, click on your ad links, etc. That is a discussion for another topic, though. We will focus on how to convince people to actually click on your website to enter.
So, what different ways are there for people to enter your site? Well, there are two top methods. One is finding you in a search (Google, Yahoo, Ask, etc.). The other is seeing a link to your website from another website, article, or anything else related to your website! Let’s focus on the search method right now. When someone wants something, they’ll search for it. So all you need to do is make sure your site is listed when they search for something you offer or represent! And, how is that done? It’s all in the keywords.
1st Step: Make a list of keywords applicable to the service you’re offering. Make up a list of about 50, but you will only use about 25.
2nd Step: Insert them into your website! There are two ways you can do this. One is by working them into the paragraphs and general information on your site. Another way is including them in the Meta Tag HTML code on the home page of your site. Both are important, and each serve their own purpose. I will assume you know how to insert both of these.
Now, just wait. Optimizing your website is not a one-day job. It is continued and built upon throughout the life of your website. If you place your keywords properly, and make sure that they are directed at the right sort of customer looking for your product, you have won the first battle! Next, make sure your site itself is appealing enough to them to turn your visitors into customer, making them want to stay, look around, and eventually buy your product.
